Notes on Prices.

 

Prices are per apartment per night in euros for two persons.   Please contact Anna in the first instance to confirm availability and prices.  July and August are the busiest months on Lipsi.  Discounts for long lets of four weeks and over by arrangements with Anna.  During the winter months November to April there is one apartment with " Heating” plus electric radiators can be provided in the remaining apartments, for which there is an extra daily charge if required.  Please confirm this charge and availability with Anna direct.

Changeover day.

 

There is no set changeover day.  All studios need to be vacated by mid-day on your departure day unless by prior arrangement with Anna.  Bookings depending on availability with Anna Rizos.

 

Accommodation.

 

Bedrooms: Bedroom with twin beds.

Bathrooms: ” En-suite” bathroom to bedroom with showers, wash hand basin and WC.

Kitchen: The large, traditional, fully equipped kitchen/diner includes a fridge, hob, kettle and toaster.

Utility Room: Each apartment has its own electric iron and hairdryer.  

Living Rooms: Separate, spacious lounge area with generous cushioned seating area with coffee table.

Other: Large, spacious olive grove setting, filled with seasonal flowers and vegetables.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: They service the apartments on a regular basis, which includes a twice-weekly towel and linen change.

 

Notes on accommodation.

 

The accommodation is situated on the hillside about 5 minutes from the village.  Transfers from the port to the apartments are by local taxi who currently charge 5 euros each way.

 

Outside.

 

The apartments are set in an olive grove next to the owner’s house.  Guests are welcome to use the garden facilities which are adjacent to the apartments.

 

Coast/Beach.

 

The island beaches are rather scattered closest to the town is Liendou Beach (known locally as the town beach), which is situated below the apartment about 10 minutes’ walk away.

 

Katsadia, a collection of small sandy coves with a simple Taverna that offers meals and refreshments from May to September.

 

Khoklakoura, consists of a pebble and shingle beach but is ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

 

Platis Yialos, – a 45-minute walk away (or a short journey by the island mini-bus) offers you a small, sheltered sandy bay, again with a simple Taverna that offers you traditional local cooked meals.

 

Travel.

 

There are numerous ways to travel to Lipsi.  Perhaps the easiest route is via Athens then a short internal flight to Leros Island (Olympic Airways), and then onward by scheduled boat to Lipsi.  There are numerous other ways of transferring to Lipsi from the neighbouring island of Samos, Kos and Kalymnos and then using the seasonal ‘Catamaran” and other ferry services.

 

Distances.

 

There is only the one village on Lipsi which is about 5 mins walk away.  A local taxi or minibus will you take you to one of the several beaches in the area including Katsadia and Platis Yialos.

 

Further details.

There is only one Post Office and a local bank on Lipsi.   It is advisable to bring your currency in euros with you.  The local shops sell a variety of fruit and vegetables and day-to-day provisions.  In the summer months there are tavernas open on the two main beaches at Katsadia and Platis Yialos.

 

Booking notes.

Please contact Anna Rizos in the first instance to confirm availability.  Deposits are 100 euros per week with the final balance due eight weeks prior to departure.  Booking less than two weeks full payment on arrival.
